German downtempo duo Boozoo Bajou have been making Latin, groove and house inspired productions since the 90's. Their sedated and humid track 'Same Sun' with luscious jazz vocals from Rumer was released back in 2011, followed by a reggae mix by Tontelas. 9 years on from the original release, a new mix is birthed, gaining the title 'Same Sun (Minus Mix)'. Delirious Hendrix-style guitar and berserk bongo playing open the song, with Rumer's vocals tangled in reverse. The song is like a psychedelic jungle that mirrors the original track. Strange electronics resemble undiscovered insects, whilst bongo's concoct a primordial urge to dance. But what's so brilliant about this mix is that despite the overgrown madness, Rumer's vocals remain thoughtful, with a sense of wordly-wise which grounds the chaos. -Ellie Rose-Davies
